Exploration High School
Nathan Strenge is an accomplished educational professional with extensive experience in designing learner-centered environments and supporting innovative educational initiatives. Currently serving as Senior Learning Designer at Fielding International since November 2018, Nathan focuses on aligning school ecosystems to enhance learning experiences. As a co-founder and Board Chair of Exploration High School, which opened in 2021, Nathan is deeply committed to fostering a relationship-centered school for public good. Previously held roles include USA Country Lead for HundrED, Head of Math Department at The International School of Minnesota, and various teaching and evaluative positions at organizations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Innovative Quality Schools. Nathan's academic credentials include a Nonprofit Management Certificate from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Augustana University.

Exploration High School
Imagine a school that empowers all learners and contributes to a thriving society. Exploration High School is designed to do just that. With a reimagined time and space framework around flexibility, adaptability, and agency, Exploration students actively drive their learning journey. With teachers and community experts acting as learning guides, trusting relationships are developed through mentoring, apprenticeships, and advisories. Learning goals are individualized and co-created by and with each person at Exploration. Community spaces become on project sandbox; adding value to local businesses, artists, and agencies through collaborative problem solving. With design and thought partners locally and nationally such as Fielding Nair International, Spark-Y: Youth Action Labs, Education Reimagined, Open Way Learning, and more, we will continue evolving and learning. With an emerging learner-centered movement that aims to empower all people, Exploration will continually look to contribute to a better society by being a good neighbor to all.
