McIarb Robert Aylward - Mrics

Robert Aylward is an experienced professional with a strong background in procurement, contracts, and quantity surveying. Robert began their career in 2004 at McInerney Holdings, where they worked on various commercial, retail, and residential projects in the UK and Ireland. In 2008, they joined Arabtec Construction LLC as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, working on prestigious projects such as Porto Dubai and Sanctuary Falls. In 2011, they were promoted to Projects Commercial Manager for Egypt, responsible for establishing and managing the commercial and procurement team. In 2012, they joined Dubai Parks and Resorts as a Senior Manager of Procurement, focusing on the development of theme parks and associated infrastructure. Robert then worked at Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate as a Senior Commercial Manager, overseeing built asset developments in the UAE and other countries. From 2017 to 2019, they served as the Director of Contracts and Procurement at Dubai Properties, where they were responsible for the procurement and delivery of key projects across a wide portfolio. Most recently, they joined Expo 2020 Dubai as the Vice President of Procurement & Contracts, overseeing the procurement and contract administration of major contractors and consultants. With their extensive experience and expertise, Robert Aylward has successfully delivered commercial services and contributed to the success of various projects in the construction industry.

Robert Aylward started their education at Waterford Institute of Technology in 2000, where they pursued a Diploma in Quantity Surveying. Robert then went on to attend the University of South Wales from 2003 to 2004, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Quantity Surveying. In 2012, they studied at the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, obtaining an MRICS in Construction and Quantity Surveying. Finally, in 2013 and 2014, they attended Robert Gordon University to specialize in Construction Law and Arbitration, earning an MCIArb degree.
