Tony Matthews

Tony Matthews currently serves as Chief of Operations at Expo City Dubai since January 2023. Prior experience includes notable leadership roles at Expo 2020 Dubai, where Tony held positions as Senior Vice President - Operations and Vice President of Construction and Logistics. Additional experience encompasses roles such as Head of Airside Infrastructure at Abu Dhabi Airports and Project Manager at International Bechtel. Tony's career journey also features positions as Area Construction Manager at Bechtel and Project Manager at Laing O'Rourke. Tony's foundational experience in civil engineering began at AMEC, progressing from Construction Trainee to Senior Civil Engineer. Educational qualifications include an MBA from The University of Manchester, an MS in Construction Management from The University of Bolton, and a Higher National Certificate in Civil Engineering from The University of Bolton.
