Senior Salesforce Consultant With Data Migration Expertise

What We’re Looking For:

Exponent Partners is seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Consultant with expertise in data migration. This position is responsible for Salesforce.com implementation projects with a variety of nonprofit organizations. In this role, you will work to help companies meet their missions by driving client-specific implementation as well as ongoing system improvements on the Salesforce platform including responsibility for leading and delivering high-value and high-quality data migrations for our nonprofit customers.

What Qualifications We Need:

  • Background & Experience

    • BS or BA degree (MBA a plus) or equivalent applicable experience
    • Required a minimum 3 years experience in a consulting position in a billable capacity; and a minimum 5 years experience with Salesforce.com customization and configuration
    • Required a minimum 3 years experience with in data transformation and load processes
    • Preferred non-profit domain experience (domains include: Human Services, Case Management, Philanthropy, Fundraising, and/or Education)
  • Salesforce/Technical Expertise

    • Experience with designing and implementing solutions on the Salesforce.com platform
    • Proficient in Salesforce configuration, including flows, security, and reporting
    • Experience with Salesforce-related technologies such as FormAssembly, Form Titan, Mail Chimp, Fonteva, Mogli SMS, DocuSign, Cirrus, Case Management, Program Management, Conga, CVent, Drawloop, and SKUID
    • Salesforce Administrator certification required, and Nonprofit Cloud Consultant certifications preferred
    • Able to demonstrate structured problem solving skills and highly detail oriented (can spot a mis-matched picklist value from a mile away)
  • Passion for technology, learning and sharing knowledge

  • Confidently able to work independently with little guidance required while maintain the ability to collaborate in a fully distributed environment

  • Flexible and able to work in a fast-changing, demanding environment

What You Will Be Doing:

Salesforce.com Implementation

  • Serve as the technical project lead and collaborating with a team of other Consultants, Developers, Solution Architects and Project Managers on larger projects

  • Proactively manage to the scope of work, budget and timeline with the PM and project team

  • Lead Discovery and Design sessions to: 

    • Identify, understand and document customer requirements
    • Successfully facilitate functional business process discussions to analyze and understand clients’ needs and opportunities for improvements
  • Lead process automation discussions

  • Analyze integration requirements

  • Develop integration process definitions and application design

  • Provide hands-on Salesforce.com (and Salesforce.com-related technology) customization and configuration for Exponent Partners' customers following requirements and solution design

  • Deliver trainings to system administrators and power users

Create review and deliver project deliverables with PMs, team members and clients

  • Follow advanced architecture, solution, and platform-specific technical best practices

  • Provide hands-on Salesforce.com (and Salesforce.com-related technology) customization and configuration following requirements and solution design

  • With the PM, lead the successful transition of clients to Customer Success by providing/reviewing project artifacts and documentation with that team prior to a formal transition

  • Be accountable for the QA of all technical project consulting deliverables

Data Migration

  • Guide customers and our internal teams through the entire data migration process, as well as performing all aspects of a successful data migration
  • Review scoped data migration work and assess against budgeted hours to ensure work can be performed as allocated
  • Draft data assessments which will be used to clarify approach, breadth, depth, and width of a subsequent extract, transform, and load project
  • Perform data migration work within scoped hours
  • Consistently deliver client data migrations on time and within budget
  • Consult with the project team to create source data field level mapping and to document where data transformations need to be created
  • Create repeatable data transformations
  • Transform and load data into Salesforce
  • Curate data driven reports to verify quality and quantity of imported data

Other 

  • Maintain target utilization rate

  • Serve as a thought leader by writing and posting articles, white papers and blog posts

  • Contribute to the knowledge base on Salesforce.com and related technology solutions

  • Mentoring more junior level staff

Hiring Salary Range:The role falls within our Senior Consultant position. The hiring range for this role is $110,00 - $130,000 annually - this range may be adjusted based on experience and location.
