Chris Berkey

Chris Berkey is currently a Senior Associate at Exponent, specializing in materials and corrosion engineering. Prior to this role, Chris was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stanford University, where they developed prototype adhesive armor appliques to reduce skin damage from projectile impact. Chris also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Stanford, focusing on skin biomechanical barrier function and tactile perception changes. During their time as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, Chris was involved in the construction of a new lab space and optimized thin film deposition processes. Chris holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from the University of Maryland.
