Mariya Samkary

Mariya Samkary has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Mariya started their career in 2012 as a Trainee at Palm Springs Company, where they were responsible for handling meeting documentations, monitoring the filing system, and serving as the secretary of the chairman. In 2016, they worked as a Quality Assistant at Al Hammadi Company for Development & Investment for a short period of time.

In 2017, Mariya had an internship as a Quality Assurance and Operational Excellence Intern at ABB, where they gained valuable experience in quality management. During the same year, they also worked on a Capstone Project at GE.

From 2018 to 2020, Mariya worked as a Service Sales Engineer at ABB, focusing on sales and customer service in the engineering sector.

In 2014, they co-founded Gvibes, a company where they were involved in various aspects of entrepreneurship and business development until 2018.

Their most recent work experience includes working at the Government Expenditure & Projects Efficiency Authority as an Associate Advisor from January 2021 to July 2022, and as a Senior Project Manager - Enablement from July 2022 to the present. In these roles, they are responsible for project management and providing advice and guidance on government expenditure and projects.

Mariya Samkary completed their education at various institutions. Mariya pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Industrial Engineering from AlFaisal University from 2013 to 2018. In 2016, they participated in a Summer School Program at Harvard Extension School, focusing on Economics. Prior to their university studies, Mariya earned an American Diploma from Kingdom Schools, where they attended from 2004 to 2013.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Mariya Samkary has also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Mariya completed the Basic Finance for Non-Finance course at ABB in December 2019. In November 2019, they acquired the Sales Academy certification from Professional Management Consultants (PMC). In February 2019, they underwent Risk Management Training at ABB. Mariya also holds a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificate from Lean Methods Group, which they obtained in November 2018. Furthermore, they completed the Digital Marketing & Social Media for Business Course at SEO International, UAE in April 2017. Lastly, they successfully completed the CAPM Exam Preparation Course at AlFaisal University in October 2016.
