Rima Abushanan

Rima Abushanan has extensive work experience in strategic planning and implementation roles. Rima is currently working as a Sr. Strategic Planning Expert at the Government Expenditure & Projects Efficiency Authority since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at the Ministry of Economy and Planning - MEPsaudi, where they held various positions including Sr. Strategic Planning & Performance Specialist from December 2021 to February 2023, Implementation & Planning Specialist from May 2021 to November 2021, and Sr. Implementation & Planning analyst from May 2019 to April 2021. Additionally, they briefly worked as a CCC at thyssenkrupp Management Consulting in March-April 2019. Before joining MEPsaudi, Rima worked as a Business Consultant at Teradata from March 2016 to February 2019, where they were responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing project and program management standards and methodologies. Rima also reviewed and analyzed business cases and aligned projects with corporate strategy.

Rima Abushanan completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University between 2010 and 2014. Rima then pursued a degree in Futurethinking - policy - futureforesight from the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITCILO) starting in 2020. Rima also attended Alajyaal High School for their high school education.
