Gregg Hadley

Chair at eXtension

Gregg Hadley is the Chair at eXtension. Gregg was previously an Associate Professor and Extension Farm Management Specialist at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls from January 2002 to August 2011. In 2010, they received the Dr. Keith Wurtz Award for Outstanding Teaching and Innovation in the Classroom.

Hadley also teaches agricultural human resource management at UW-Madison in their Farm & Industry Short Course program. Gregg has a 63% extension appointment with UW-Extension and the Center for Dairy Profitability. Gregg's extension activities include farm and agribusiness management advising, disseminating farm and agribusiness management research, and conducting farm and agribusiness management education workshops. Gregg's extension specialties include agricultural finance, agricultural human resource management, diverse workforce issues, immigration policy, team building, farm succession, strategic management, and general farm and agribusiness management. In 2011, they received the Wisconsin Association of County Agricultural Agents Second Mile Award.

Hadley has made presentations at over 120 local, state, national and international seminars and authored or co-authored over 30 publications. Gregg has also conducted and facilitated over 30 workshops and has advised numerous farm and agribusinesses about their financial performance, human resource management, farm succession, and other management concerns.

Gregg Hadley has a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University and a BS in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University.
