Christi McGowan

Christi McGowan has extensive work experience in the legal field. Christi is currently serving as the Director of Legal Operations at Exterro since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at UC Irvine from June 2020 to December 2022. From April 2018 to July 2021, they held the position of Director Of Infrastructure at Sift Discovery, LLC. In September 2018, they became the Chair of the Law Practice Management Technology Section at the California Lawyers Association, a role they held until October 2019. From January 2016 to May 2018, they were the owner of eDiscovery Litigation Specialists, Inc. Christi also has experience as an Advisor and Lead Instructor at UC San Diego Extension from July 2015 to January 2018, and as an Instructor from January 2014 to January 2018. Christi'scareer began in 2003 as a Litigation Support Manager/Sr. Paralegal at Bienert, Miller & Katzman PLC, where they worked until December 2015.

Christi McGowan attended Penn State University from 2008 to 2010 but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study during that time. In 2020, they obtained certifications in HIPAA For Business Associates from Hippa Training and Ipro For Enterprise Administrator from Iprotech. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications in Concordance Administration Fundamentals (CAF), Concordance Certified Software Administrator (CCSA), Concordance Certified Software Trainer (CCST), Concordance Fundamentals (CF), LAW PreDiscovery EDD - Certified Administrator, and LAW PreDiscovery EDD - Certified User from LexisNexis.
