Jonathan Shorter

Jonathan Shorter, MBCS has over 20 years of experience in the field of IT, with a focus on forensics, security/incident response, and eDiscovery. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President, International Technical Engineering at Exterro since January 2021. Prior to that, they worked at AccessData for almost a decade, starting as an International Technical Account Manager and progressing to roles such as Senior Director, International Technical Engineering and Vice President, Technical Engineering. Jonathan also served as the Technical Advisor at Astria Corporation Philippines in 2020 and as a Volunteer DFIR/OSINT Investigator at Operation: Safe Escape in the same year. Jonathan has also worked at Fidelis Cybersecurity as a Lead Product Specialist, Professional Services, and at Resolution1 Security as the International Manager, Cyber Security Engineering. Additionally, they gained valuable experience as a Manager at Scooterman Limited and as a Hi-Tech Forensic Investigator at Cheshire Constabulary. Jonathan's career began as a self-employed individual at Prolifia Limited. Throughout their career, they have received various accolades, including the Vice Chancellor's Award for Lifetime Achievement from the University of the West of England, where they also served as a Student Rep.

Jonathan Shorter, MBCS, earned a BSc (Hons) degree in Forensic Computing from the University of the West of England from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they attended Christleton High School from 1991 to 1993. Jonathan also holds certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services and ACE - AccessData Certified Examiner from AccessData Group. Additionally, they are a member of the Interpol Digital Forensic Experts Group.
