Fergal Gaynor

Fergal Gaynor is a prominent legal professional with extensive experience in international criminal law. Currently serving as a Judge at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers and as the Reserve International Co-Prosecutor at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia, Fergal Gaynor has contributed to significant cases at both the International Criminal Court and United Nations tribunals. With a diverse background, including roles as a Trial Attorney at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, Fergal Gaynor has led investigative teams on serious human rights violations and has acted as counsel in cases involving key figures in historic conflicts. An accomplished academic, Fergal Gaynor has also held teaching positions at institutions such as the Irish Centre for Human Rights and has conducted research on judicial review of prosecutorial discretion.
