Alex Zhao

Alex Zhao is a Senior Director and Senior Solutions Architect at Exusia and is responsible for technical delivery for Exusia's clients in the United States and the United Kingdom. He is responsible for defining and leading large data management programs and technical solutions for Exusia’s top clients and providing delivery oversight and quality assurance for enterprise data management solutions. With over twenty years of experience as a technical architect, Alex brings expertise in competencies across data management and analytics to Exusia. His expertise includes analysis, design, and development of best-in-class solutions across complex corporate environments with an emphasis on data warehousing, business intelligence, data integration, ETL, data architecture, data modeling, master data management, and Big Data solutions. Alex has maintained a consistent record of delivering high-quality, creative, and sustainable solutions for his clients across multiple industry domains with deep technical knowledge and hands-on expertise in Ab Initio, DataStage, Informatica, Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, Tableau, and Hadoop.

Prior to joining Exusia, Alex spent sixteen years as a Senior Principal with HP/Knightsbridge and Clarity Solutions Group, where he worked on strategic projects in the US, Canada, and China. During that time Alex had the opportunity to work with and advise companies across several industry verticals, including financial services and insurance (Citigroup, Fannie Mae, CapitolOne, KeyBank, Wells Fargo, SunTrust, AllState), healthcare (CVS Caremark, Walgreens, Astellas), retail (Walgreens), transportation (Norfolk Southern), and high technology (Intel).

Alex received his B.S. in Mechanics from Peking University in China and his M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Alex is an active contributor to Wheaton Chinese Alliance Church and China Outreach Ministry to reach Chinese students and scholars in Chicago. Alex and his wife, Yumei, along with their children actively contribute to a variety of charities including Feed My Starving Children and World Vision to help children in need.
