Zwelethu Hlatshwayo

Zwelethu Hlatshwayo serves as the Vice Chairman of the Institute of Mine Surveyors of South Africa since August 2023 and has been with Exxaro Resources as a Senior Engineer since January 2014, focusing on mine scheduling and resource modeling. Previously, Zwelethu held the position of Senior Mine Surveyor, where responsibilities included supervising production targets, ensuring spatial information accuracy, assisting in mine design preparations, and managing safety compliance and reporting. Early career included roles as a Professional in Training Mine Surveyor, with significant achievements in rehabilitation project modeling. Zwelethu has a diverse educational background, including a Management Development Program from the University of Pretoria, a Remote Pilot License, and a BTech in Mineral Resource Management from the University of Johannesburg.
