Darien Mathews

Darien Mathews is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as the Head of IT- AI Business and Strategy at ExxonMobil since April 2016, Mathews acts as Chief Data Scientist, focusing on the integration of Watson Analytics with Global Technology Services to optimize IT supply chains. Prior to this role, Mathews was the Head of IT at Fivetran from June 2014 to May 2016, where responsibilities included managing IT applications, operations, security, and compliance. Mathews also has a strong background in IT auditing as the Senior Vice President and Head of IT Audit at Dexia from September 2011 to April 2014, overseeing comprehensive audits and ensuring compliance with banking regulations. Mathews holds a Master’s degree in Computer Software Engineering from the University of South Carolina, earned between January 2000 and January 2005.
