Roman Galchenko

Roman Galchenko is a highly experienced engineering professional with a strong background in completion and stimulation engineering within the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Senior Completion and Stimulation Engineer at CNPC USA since February 2018, Roman has successfully led a significant 5-year completion optimization project in China, achieving over a 30% increase in 90-day IP rates through effective design and analysis. Prior to this role, Roman held positions as a Senior Completion Engineer at JKX Oil & Gas and as a Completion Engineer at bp, where skills included fracture stimulation design and evaluation of resin-coated proppants. Roman's career began at Marathon Oil Corporation as a Reservoir Engineer and Completion Engineer, focusing on economic evaluations and multistage completions. Roman holds master's degrees in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University and Applied Mathematics from Tomsk Polytechnic University.
