Kamalesh Ramaiya

Kamalesh Ramaiya is a highly experienced Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Eye Associates of New Mexico, serving since August 2011, specializing in the diagnosis and management of medical and surgical retinal diseases. Prior to this role, Kamalesh completed a fellowship at Barnes Retina Institute & Washington University in St. Louis and served as an Instructor in Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences at Washington University School of Medicine, where responsibilities included teaching, mentoring, and research activities. Additional experience includes serving as a Staff Physician in Ophthalmology at John Cochran VA Healthcare System and completing residency training at Scripps Mercy Hospital. Kamalesh holds an MD from the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson and a BS in Biochemistry and Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Arizona.
