Mat Alexandra Claeys

Director, Community Leadership at Eye to Eye National

Alexandra Claeys, MAT has a diverse work experience. Alexandra started their career at Eye to Eye National in 2013 as a Chapter Coordinator, where they led a mentoring program and advocated for education reform. Alexandra then joined St. Joseph School as a Substitute Teacher in 2014. In 2015, they became a 3rd Grade Teacher at St. John the Baptist Elementary, demonstrating strong communication and organization skills. Returning to Eye to Eye National in 2017, Alexandra took on various roles such as National Program Coordinator and Senior National Program Coordinator, where they developed curriculum and managed student volunteers. Alexandra later worked as an Impact and Innovation Manager, Senior Manager of Special Projects, and Senior Manager - Strategic Projects, where they successfully managed medium to large-scale projects. In their most recent role as the Director of Community Leadership at Eye to Eye National, Alexandra co-designed and implemented new initiatives, led event projects, and served as an ambassador for the organization.

Alexandra Claeys attended the University of Portland from 2015 to 2017, where they earned a Masters of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Elementary Education and Teaching. Prior to their time at the University of Portland, they attended Gonzaga University from 2010 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Sociology.
