Jason Jones

Jason Jones currently serves as Chief Data Science Officer at Health Catalyst. Previously, he served at Kaiser Permanente (KP) in various roles including Research Scientist and VP, Information Support for Care Transformation. Prior to KP, Jason was a Medical Informaticist for Intermountain Healthcare. Other roles have included analytic and marketing leadership positions at Bayer HealthCare, data and information product development at UnitedHealth Group, and various academic adjunct faculty positions. Jason received his PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Southern California in 2001. His mission is to leverage data to achieve the Quadruple Aim.

Jason believes that better use of data is critical to achieving the Quadruple Aim. For people, it means having access to options and guidance to achieve the goals in the context of the preferences and circumstances. For providers, it means feeling supported in applying expertise and caring to achieve and sustain health. For organizations, it means achieving better focus and resource application for sustainable improvement. Providing the right information, to the right person, and at the right time augments intelligence and increases team success.
