Omkar Joshi

Omkar Joshi has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Omkar worked at EYOTO™ as a Senior Research and Development Engineer, where they were responsible for product development of ophthalmic instrumentation, including conceptualization, feasibility research, design, testing, and transfer to manufacture. Additionally, they developed electronic frameworks for products, designed PCBs up to 6 layers, and designed cable harnesses.

Prior to that, Omkar worked as a Senior Electronic Engineer at EYOTO™ and as a Consultant. Omkar also served as a Research Fellow at Aston University, where they conducted research.

Earlier in their career, Omkar worked as a Researcher/Lecturer at VPM's Polytechnic, where they developed a prototype of a Biventricular assist device. Omkar also taught programming in C and conducted lab demonstrations on programming, microcontrollers, and embedded systems.

Furthermore, they served as a Laboratory Demonstrator and Consultant at Aston University, as well as a Research Assistant at Bhide Heart.

Omkar's work experience also includes a role as a Research and Development Engineer at Ashida Electronics. In this position, they were responsible for hardware designing, firmware development, human-machine interface development, communication protocol implementation, and SCADA and traction protection relay testing.

Omkar Joshi's education history is as follows:

Omkar obtained a PhD in Medical Electronics - Electronics Design of a Left Ventricular assist Device from Aston University, where they studied from 2009 to 2016.

Prior to their PhD, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering [B.E.] in Electronics & Telecommunication from the University of Mumbai, where they studied from 2003 to 2007.

Before their bachelor's degree, Omkar Joshi attended VPM's Polytechnic, where they earned a Diploma in Industrial Electronics. Omkar studied at VPM's Polytechnic from 2000 to 2003.

In addition to their formal education, Omkar Joshi has also obtained several certifications. Omkar completed "Altium Designer - Advanced" from Altium® in October 2022, "Introduction to ISO 13485" from Lloyd's Register in September 2021, "Manual handling of inanimate objects" from TUTORCARE LIMITED in July 2020, "Altium Designer - Essentials" from Altium® in December 2019, "Solidworks Electrical Routing" from Solid Solutions - SolidWorks Reseller in July 2019, "EMC Crash Course for PCB designers" from the Institution of Engineering Designers in October 2017, and "Basic Fire Extinguisher Training" from Fire Safety Managers Ltd in March 2019.
