Lara Boyd

Lara Boyd has extensive work experience in business development and corporate strategy. Lara is currently the VP of Business Development & Corporate Strategy at F-star, an invoX company, where they have been since May 2023. Prior to this role, they held positions as VP of Business Development and Senior Director of Business Development at the same company. Lara also worked as a Director and Business Development Manager at F-star from March 2020 to May 2023. Before joining F-star, Lara worked as a Business Development Manager at Cancer Research UK (CRUK) from July 2017 to March 2018. Lara also held the position of Business Development Manager at Cancer Research Technology from November 2014 to July 2017, and as a Project Development Manager at the same company from February 2013 to November 2014. Lara's earlier work experience includes being a Post-doctoral Research Scientist at Barts Cancer Institute from August 2008 to January 2013, and an Associate Tutor at the University of Sussex from September 2004 to September 2008. Lara began their career as a PhD student at the MRC Genome Damage and Stability Centre, Sussex, from September 2004 to August 2008.

Lara Boyd obtained their Bachelor of Science (hons) degree in Biochemistry from Imperial College London from 2000 to 2003. Lara then pursued their Master of Science degree in Genetic Manipulation and Molecular Cell Biology at the University of Sussex, completing it in 2004. Continuing their education, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in DNA Damage Repair from the University of Sussex, which they completed between 2004 and 2008.
