Lary Sorensen has an extensive work experience in the world of baseball. In 1977, they began their career as a Major League Baseball player. In 1990, they began working as a Baseball Analyst for ESPN. In 1994, they became a Talk Show Host for WDFN. In 1995, they became a Radio Broadcaster for the Detroit Tigers, conducting pre and post game shows. In 2011, they became a Baseball Analyst for Michigan's Big Show, discussing and analyzing Major League Baseball from an ex-players point of view. From 2014 to 2018, they held various roles at Wake Forest University, including Football/Baseball Broadcaster, Football/Baseball Commentator for Radio/TV, and Baseball Analyst. Since 2018, they have been the Chief Baseball Officer at F5 Sports, Inc., transforming data from body movement into real-time, actionable insights that improve learning and maximize human performance.

Lary Sorensen attended Trinity Lutheran from 1960 to 1969. Lary then attended L'Anse Creuse High School from 1970 to 1973, where they earned a Diploma in College Prep. Finally, they attended the University of Michigan from 1973 to 1977, studying Communications/Radio, TV and Film.
