Michael Giordano

Vice President, Quality Management at Fabric Genomics

Michael Giordano has extensive experience in quality management and assurance, specifically in the laboratory and healthcare industry. Michael currently holds the position of Vice President, Quality Management at Fabric Genomics since February 2023.

Prior to their current role, Michael worked at Sema4 from 2017 to 2023, where they held various positions, including Vice President of Quality Assurance, Director of Quality Assurance, and Laboratory Quality Assurance Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, developing strategic plans, and implementing quality management systems.

Before their time at Sema4, Michael worked at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai as a Laboratory Quality Assurance Manager from 2014 to 2017. Here, they focused on laboratory licensure and accreditation, as well as implementing electronic document control systems.

From 2004 to 2014, Michael worked at DIANON Systems, where they held positions such as Quality Assurance Manager, Quality Assurance Analyst, and Cytogenetic Technologist. In these roles, they oversaw quality processes, conducted inspections, managed licenses and permits, and performed laboratory tasks such as imaging and karyotyping.

Additionally, Michael gained experience at US Labs as a Cytogenetic Associate, Molecular Genetics Intern, and Cytogenetics Intern. In these roles, they conducted chromosome analysis, prepared and analyzed slides, and assisted with various laboratory procedures.

Michael Giordano obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Diagnostic Genetic Sciences from the University of Connecticut, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Michael later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of New Haven, completing their studies from 2008 to 2010. In addition to their degrees, Michael obtained the certification of Technologist in Cytogenetics from the ASCP Board of Certification in December 2003. Furthermore, they obtained the ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence certification from ASQ - World Headquarters in September 2016.
