Kamran Jawed

Fermentation Scientist at FabricNano

Kamran Jawed is a fermentation scientist who currently works at FabricNano. Prior to this, they worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Nottingham, where they researched gas fermentation, biopolymer production, and metabolic engineering. Kamran has also worked as a research scholar at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they researched fermentation, CRISPR/Cas9, metabolic engineering, and synthetic biology. Kamran Jawed obtained their PHD from ICGEB/Jamia Hamdard in 2013, where their thesis was entitled “Metabolic engineering of E. coli for production of short chain fatty acids and their derivatives as biofuel”.

Kamran Jawed has a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biotechnology from ICGEB/Jamia Hamdard and a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Jamia Millia Islamia.
