Effie Jia

Effie Jia has a diverse work experience in various design and research roles. Effie started their career as a research intern at Université catholique de Louvain in 2017. In 2018, they worked as a research assistant at MIT Media Lab and also had an internship as an architecture intern at Perkins+Will. In 2019, they served as a design fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The following year, they worked as a creative editor at Dronegenuity. In 2021, they joined Ezra Lee Design+Build as a designer for two separate periods. Currently, they are working at Facet as a designer and was promoted to the role of design lead in 2023.

Effie Jia pursued their education at the University of California, Berkeley, from 2021 to 2022, where they obtained a Master of Design degree with a specialization in Design. Prior to this, they attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2016 to 2020. At MIT, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Architecture, Art, and Design.
