Michael Heyn has 8 years of professional work experience, beginning in 2006. Michael started their career as a Landscape Specialist and Event Management at Brigham Young University, where they were a co-student leader and supervisor of a crew of up to 12 employees. In 2010, they worked as a Server at Winger's Bar & Grill, where they employed exceptional interpersonal and team building skills, with an aptitude for building rapport with a diverse range of managers, customers, and colleagues. In 2012, Heyn became an Accounting Implementation Consultant at Entrata, where they were responsible for implementing Entrata Accounting Software for customers in the multi-family housing industry. Michael also held roles as a Staff Accountant/Commission Specialist, Billing Coordinator/Commission Specialist, and Contracts Processing Specialist at Entrata. In 2016, Heyn joined Chatbooks as a Finance Manager and Senior Accountant. As the first accounting hire, Heyn successfully brought accounting in-house from an outsourced accounting firm and reduced payroll costs by $300K by researching, negotiating, and implementing new payroll software and employee benefits. Michael also developed internal processes and reporting that decreased month-end close from 30 days to 6 days. In 2019, Heyn became the Head of Client Services at Teleport Group. Most recently, in 2021, Heyn was appointed as the Head of Growth and Sales at Facta.

Michael Heyn earned their High School degree from Lehi High School in 2006. Michael then attended Brigham Young University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics from 2006 to 2012. In 2016, they received two certifications from Entrata: the Entrata Accounting Certification and the Entrata Leasing & Rents Certification. Michael completed their Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University in 2018.
