Kara Lombard

Kara Lombard has an extensive work history, starting with their most recent position as the Director of Operations at New Roots Institute since 2023. Prior to that, they held the same role at the same company from April 2023 to July 2023. From 2018 to 2022, Lombard worked at Choice Financial, initially as the Executive Vice President & Chief People Strategies Officer, and later as the SVP, People Strategies. Before that, they spent over a decade with Venture Bank, serving as the SVP, Talent Management & Organizational Development from 2013 to 2018, and prior to that as the Deposit Operations & Human Resources Officer from 2002 to 2013. Lombard began their career at Riverside Bank in 1989, starting as an Assistant Vice President and eventually becoming the AVP & Human Resources Officer.

Kara Lombard attended Iowa State University from 1984 to 1987, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. In 2013, they obtained a certification as a Senior Professional of Human Resources from the HR Certification Institute.
