Ryan Gourley

Director of Professional Development at Factory Farming Awareness Coalition

Ryan Gourley has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2013, they founded A2Share and served as the Founding Director until 2016. In 2015, they joined TechArb as the Assistant Director of Student Ventures and Accelerator Program Director, where they remained until 2019. In 2016, they worked as an Assistant Editor at Shareable. In 2018, they served as a Selection Analyst at the Edmund Hillary Fellowship (EHF). From 2020 to 2021, they participated in the Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Program and worked as a Changemaker Training Fellow at The Humane League. In 2020, they also held the role of Fluency Score Analyst and Performance Coach at Fluent. In 2021, they worked as a Program Manager at Effective Thesis and as the International Director of Operations at Animal Equality. Currently, they are employed at New Roots Institute, where they have held the positions of Director of Professional Development, Director of Program Strategy, and currently serves as the Director of Strategy and Innovation since June 2023.

Ryan Gourley has a Master of Entrepreneurship degree from the University of Michigan. Ryan also holds a Master of Science degree in Behavior, Education, and Communication from the University of Michigan- School for Environment and Sustainability. Additionally, Ryan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Iowa. Ryan has obtained several certifications, including the Schumacher Certificate in Leadership and Facilitation from Schumacher College in 2019, the Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile Certified Practitioner from Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile® (EMP) in 2019, and the Early Tech Development Course from the University of Michigan Medical School in 2015.
