Kyla Szemenyei's work experience begins in 2012 as a Safety Shuttle Driver at Dickinson College. Kyla then worked as a Community Skills Instructor at the Autism Society of North Carolina from 2014 to 2015. Following this, they joined Via of the Lehigh Valley in 2015 and took on various roles, including Manager and Operations Specialist, and E-Commerce and Bulk Sales Manager. At Via, they supervised staff, responded to customer inquiries, scheduled donations and clothing drives, coordinated agendas, resolved conflicts, and updated the store's website and social media. Kyla is currently employed as a Consumer Relations Manager at Factory LLC starting in 2022.

Kyla Szemenyei began their education in 2010 at Northampton Community College, where they pursued an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Liberal Arts and Psychology. Kyla studied there for two years before transferring to Dickinson College in 2012. At Dickinson College, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy, graduating in 2014.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Kyla Szemenyei has also obtained a certification in CPR from the American Red Cross in April 2019.
