Carlos Abascal

Carlos Abascal is currently the CFO at factory14. Prior to that, they worked as an Associate in Leveraged Finance and Private Debt at ING from September 2014 to June 2019. There, they were responsible for originating, advising, structuring, and executing event-driven solutions under a flexible sector and structure approach. This included Industry Lending for Transportation, Food & Agricultural, and Pharmaceutical & Healthcare companies, as well as Non-IG loans such as Bridge Financings, Holdco & Subordinated Financing. Carlos began their career at ING as an Intern in Financial Markets from June 2013 to August 2013 where they dealt with hedging and speculative derivative products for corporates and Financial Institutions.

After completing a Double Degree in Business Administration (B.B.A.) and Law (L.L.B) from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, Carlos Abascal pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from the University of International Business and Economics. Carlos then went on to earn their MBA from INSEAD with a focus on Private Equity and Entrepeneurship. In addition, Carlos Abascal holds certifications from SENASA in Glider Pilot and from CFA Institute in Chartered Financial Analyst.
