Sandra Nygaard has held a number of roles in the fashion and media industry over the past 15 years. In 2021, they became the Director of Editorial and PR for Fair Harbor, a sustainable beachwear brand that was designated the #26 fastest growing private company in America and the #2 fastest growing private company in retail by Inc. Magazine. From 2018-2020, they worked as a Content Marketing Consultant + Brand Strategist + Storyteller for New Farm Creative, providing editorial and content marketing services and thought leadership for consumer brands and media companies. During 2020, they also worked as a Freelance Editorial Director, Digital Innovation for Ralph Lauren, where they were responsible for creative development, ideation, and management of digital content. From 2006-2018, they were the Fashion & Grooming Director at Men's Health magazine, where they conceived, researched, and crafted compelling service-driven fashion and grooming pieces each month. Sandra also launched monthly coverage and an annual Men's Health Grooming Awards. From 2004-2006, they were the Market Editor for Men's Designer Sportswear at DNR magazine (now part of Women's Wear Daily), where they reported on breaking fashion and consumer product business and industry news, highlighted emerging designers, and produced and packaged feature stories.

Sandra Nygaard obtained a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University in 2003, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Rutgers University.
