Joseph Collin, CAP®, has over 15 years of experience in the field of philanthropy and development. Joseph currently serves as the Vice President of Philanthropy at Fairfield County's Community Foundation, where they have been since April 2022. Prior to this role, Joseph held the position of Senior Director of Development and Philanthropic Services at the same organization from September 2019 to April 2022.
Before joining Fairfield County's Community Foundation, Joseph worked at the Metropolitan Opera for four years. Joseph held the role of Director of Institutional Relations from January 2016 to September 2019, and prior to that, they served as the Deputy Director of Institutional Relations from June 2015 to January 2016.
Joseph's experience also includes working at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum as an Associate in Institutional Advancement from June 2012 to June 2015, and at The New York Academy of Medicine as an Associate in the Office of Development from April 2010 to June 2012.
Early in their career, Joseph gained valuable experience as a Membership Assistant at the American Civil Liberties Union from June 2008 to February 2009, and as an Orientation Advisor and Teacher at Associazione Culturale Linguistica Educational from May 2006 to September 2007.
Throughout their career, Joseph Collin has consistently demonstrated a strong passion for philanthropy and development, making significant contributions to each organization they have worked for.
Joseph Collin, CAP®, completed a professional certificate in Fundraising from New York University. Joseph also holds a BM degree in Music-Vocal Performance from The Catholic University of America and an MM degree in Music-Opera from the University of Hartford. In 2022, they earned a CAP (Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy) from The American College of Financial Services.
