Rene Hoet

Rene Hoet has a diverse work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Rene is the Chief Innovation Officer at FairJourney Biologics since 2022. Prior to that, they co-founded Hoet Stepping Stone to the Future BV and Hoet Consultancy BV in 2021. Rene served as a Professor of Biopharmaceutics at Maastricht University from 2012 to 2022. Rene also held positions as Chief Scientific Officer at Montis Biosciences, Imcheck Therapeutics, and Vice President Global Biologics at Bayer HealthCare. Additionally, they founded Hoet Consultancy, providing strategic advice to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, and worked at Genmab and Dyax in various research and leadership roles.

Rene Hoet earned a PhD in Molecular Immunology from Radboud University, where they previously obtained a degree in chemistry with a focus on Biochemistry, Toxicology, and Organic Chemistry. The PhD was completed between 1987 and 1992, while the initial degree was pursued from 1981 to 1987.
