Rachel joined the management team at Fairlie House in March 2017 as a senior deputy home manager.
Rachel is a Registered Nurse with over 23 years’ experience covering the NHS and Private Sector in diverse nursing roles from bedside nursing to the role of a Clinical Services Manager. She has a clinical background in Neuroscience with a specialist interest in neurorehabilitation.
In the last 2 years, Rachel has taken opportunities to develop as a Leader, Manager, Coach, Mentor, driving the delivery of excellent clinical standards of care, and a culture of safety, clinical effectiveness and continuous improvement for the patient experience within the Home.
Rachel is committed to service improvement, interdisciplinary team working, staff experience and development and, most importantly, providing an excellent patient experience. She has supported both Fairlie House and Highfield House in preparation for CQC inspections with both Homes now rated as Outstanding. She has championed end-of-life care supporting the team to attain Platinum status in Gold Standards Framework (GSF).
Rachel has now taken on other responsibilities in managing the pre-admission process and cross-site working.
