Amit Das

Amit Das is an experienced consultant and project coordinator with a strong background in promoting sustainable development and financial inclusion. Currently at Fairtrade International since January 2017, Amit has held various roles including Consultant, Program Officer, and Associate, focusing on strengthening the position of farmers and workers in the Asia Pacific region's trade value chain. Prior to this, Amit served as Sr. Project Coordinator at ACCESS ASSIST, working on the DFID-SIDBI project aimed at financial inclusion. Amit's career also includes a role as Programme Associate at the Meghalaya Institute of Entrepreneurship, which focuses on entrepreneurship education and support for micro and small enterprises. Amit holds a degree in Business Management with a specialization in Finance and Marketing from Assam Institute of Management and a Bachelor of Commerce from St. Edmund's College, Shillong.
