Lan Nguyen, MS, SPHR

Lan Nguyen has a diverse range of work experience spanning several industries. Lan currently holds the position of COO and Interim CEO at FairVote, where they provide executive-level direction and oversight for various departments. Prior to that, Lan served as the Executive VP and Chief Operations Officer at FairVote, championing enterprise-wide activities such as strategic planning and change management. Before joining FairVote, they worked as a Principal Partner at Strategic Advisors Partners, where they collaborated with CEOs and Boards to provide strategic services and organizational strengthening. Lan also has experience as the Director of HR and Operations at The Health Management Academy, where they played a pivotal role in strategic forecasting and planning. Additionally, they worked as an HR Manager at Sidwell Friends School and as a Consumer Lending Loan Officer at Chevy Chase Bank earlier in their career.

Lan Nguyen holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Law & Public Policy from the University of MD, University College. They also have a Master of Science (MS) degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus. In addition to their degrees, Lan has obtained a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in June 2013.
