Sabrina Laverty, MSSW

Sabrina Laverty has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Sabrina started working as a Research Analyst at FairVote in 2022. In 2023, they became a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Advanced Research Methods and Statistics at the Columbia School of Social Work.

From 2020 to 2022, Sabrina worked at the Columbia School of Social Work as a Researcher and Graduate Teaching Assistant for Macroeconomics. In 2021, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Social Work Research and served as a Professional Development & Self Awareness Facilitator. Sabrina also had a similar role in 2020.

Sabrina gained experience as a School Success Coach at the International Rescue Committee from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they had teaching assistant roles for Economics for International Affairs and served as a Professional Development & Self Awareness Facilitator at Columbia University's School of Social Work.

Before pursuing their career in social work, Sabrina interned as a Social Work Intern at the Board of Education Jersey City in 2019. Sabrina also worked as a Recreation Assistant at CareOne Management LLC and held a managerial position at AMC Theatres during the same year.

In 2018, Sabrina gained experience as a Research and Policy Intern at the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in research, teaching, facilitation, and social work.

Sabrina Laverty, MSSW, pursued their education in a progressive manner, focusing on social work and global studies. From 2014 to 2015, they attended Mercyhurst University, where they focused on intelligence analysis. Subsequently, they enrolled in American University, completing their Bachelor's degree in International/Global Studies from 2015 to 2018. In 2019, Sabrina Laverty commenced their Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at Columbia University - Columbia School of Social Work, which they completed in 2021.
