Michael-Ray Mathews

Michael-Ray Mathews serves as the Deputy Director of Faith in Action since January 2008, where responsibilities include strategic planning and operational management to mobilize the faith-based community for social change. Mathews has held various leadership roles, including Chief Faith Officer and Director of Clergy Organizing, focusing on narrative change strategies and leadership development within the organization. Additionally, Mathews has been involved with the Alliance of Baptists as Immediate Past President and has previously served as Senior Pastor at Grace Baptist Church, emphasizing social justice and community engagement. Educational background includes a Master of Divinity from the American Baptist Seminary of the West and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California.
