Melissa Carney

Melissa Carney has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. Melissa began their career at Freedom 55 Financial in 2010, where they worked as a Branch File Associate. After that, they served as a Management Support Associate from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, they joined Sun Life Financial as a Regional Coordinator, a role they held until 2019. Most recently, they have been working at Serenia Life Financial since 2020. Melissa started as a Manager in Sales and Distribution Support and is currently serving as the Director of Distribution Support.

Melissa Carney attended the University of Waterloo and obtained various degrees and certifications. In 2002 to 2004, they studied Jewellery Arts & Design at George Brown College. In 2013, they earned an ACS degree in Life Insurance and Finance from the Life Insurance Office Management. In 2014, they obtained an ALMI degree in Life Insurance & Finance from the Life Office Management Association. Melissa also completed multiple courses at the University of Waterloo, including Total Quality Fundamentals Lean Management in 2017, Fundamentals of Supervision & Management 1 and 2 in 2018, and Six Sigma: Total Quality Applications in 2018. Melissa recently achieved a degree in Integrity Matters from the University of Waterloo in 2020.
