Mohamed Shawky has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Mohamed is currently the Director of Quality and Risk at Fakeeh Care Group since February 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Assistant Director of Technical Affairs at Saudi Patient Safety Center from December 2017 to November 2021. Mohamed also worked as a Leadership and Quality Management Surveyor at Saudi Central Board For Accreditation of Health Care Institutions (CBAHI) from March 2017 to October 2021. In addition, they served as an Intermittent Lecturer at the American University in Cairo from November 2011 to November 2019. Mohamed has also held positions such as Chief Quality Officer at Sukoon Intl. Holdings - International Extended Care from January 2015 to January 2018, Accreditation Specialist at Saudi Central Board For Accreditation of Health Care Institutions (CBAHI) from July 2014 to December 2015, CQI Manager at Armed Forces Hospital King Abdulaziz Airbase from July 2013 to April 2014, Accreditation and Training Unit Head at King Saud Medical City from November 2010 to August 2013, and Quality Improvement Specialist at King Fahd Hospital from January 2010 to November 2010.

Mohamed Shawky has an extensive education history. Mohamed holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Medical Microbiology and Bacteriology from Helwan University Cairo. In 2008-2009, they pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Total Quality Management for Healthcare at The American University in Cairo. Continuing their education, they completed various certifications and training programs. Mohamed earned a Certified Professional for Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification from the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) in 2010. In the same year, they also attended a Leadership & Quality Management training and workshop at the Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI). Additionally, they completed the Tracer Methodology Training for accreditation preparation from Joint Commission Resources and the Basic Training Program in Information Management from Joint Commission Resources in 2010 and 2011, respectively. In 2014, they obtained the certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from the Quality Academy - IASSC Accredited Organization, specializing in performance improvement. Furthermore, they became a Certified KPI Professional (CKPIP) from the KPI Institute in 2015. Moving on to more recent educational pursuits, they completed a Certificate in Business Analytics: Decision making using data from Cambridge Judge Business School in 2019-2020. In 2022, they enrolled in Harvard Business School Online, where they obtained a Certificate in Disruptive Strategy. Lastly, in the same year, they also pursued a program in Data Science and Machine Learning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
