James Kaney

VP of Business Development & Co-Founder at Falcomm

James has a background in business, engineering, and physics from Georgia Tech and GSU. After high school, he spent five years working in the oil industry in North Dakota and in sales in the roofing industry in Colorado. In 2018, he made the decision to pursue higher education. Majoring in Physics at Georgia State University, he achieved five consecutive 4.0 GPA semesters before transferring to Georgia Tech in 2020. During his time as a Mechanical Engineering student, he worked on a program to develop autonomous UAVs, focusing on modeling and manufacturing the unmanned vehicle. After two years in the Mechanical Engineering program at Georgia Tech, he changed his major to Business Administration; James decided that his talents may be better suited in the business world by bridging the gap between engineers and businesspeople. In June 2022, James decided to defer graduation from Georgia Tech to focus solely on the success of Falcomm.
