Emma Compton has extensive work experience in the field of art psychotherapy and special education. Emma began their career in 2009 as an Art Psychotherapist at Childrens Hospital School Leicester, where they also served as the Assistant SENCO. In this role, they led in EHCP planning, assisted the SENCO in developing the SEND policy, coordinated ECHPs, and conducted individual assessments. Emma joined Family Action in 2017 as an Associate Therapist and Bank Staff at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust - CAMHS. Emma currently works as a Bank Staff at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust in the CAHMS department since 2018.

Emma Compton completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) hons in Art and English at the University of Warwick from 1993 to 1997. Emma then pursued a Masters in Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University from 1999 to 2000. Later on, they attended Leeds Beckett University from 2013 to 2017 to obtain a Masters in Art Psychotherapy.
