Chris Herron

Chris Herron has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors for the Family Independence Initiative since September 2014, and as an Associate Partner at New Profit Inc. since June 2010. Previously, Chris held leadership roles with YNPN Boston, including Co-Chair and Board Member, where the focus was on strengthening the nonprofit community through professional development and networking for young professionals. Other notable positions include Recruiting Manager (volunteer) and Summer Associate at One Acre Fund, Social Innovation Forum Consultant at Root Cause, and various consulting roles in nonprofit finance and urban business development. Earlier in career, Chris was the Chief Executive Officer of The Daily Jolt, overseeing operations of a network of student-run college web portals. Education includes an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a BA in Russian Studies and Psychology from Amherst College.
