Jian Batra

Jian Batra has had a diverse work experience, beginning with a work experience at Deutsche Bank in 2018, followed by a work experience at Edwin Coe LLP in the same year. In 2019, they had a work experience at Rothesay, where they prepared a bid for a pension insurance project and presented a PowerPoint presentation of a company overview to senior officials. In 2020, they ran a private tutoring business, and in 2021, they held a Writer, Livestream Host & YouTube Content Creator position at Fantasy Football Hub, where they wrote highly detailed articles based on both “Tactical and Statistical analysis” and occasionally used data from models to help draw conclusions from in-depth Tactical analysis. Jian also livestreamed on Twitter Spaces for 1 hour before every “Gameweek” deadline in front of thousands of people. In the same year, they also had an internship experience at Bright Network, where they utilized core skills, including problem solving and thorough research to complete work samples concerning the acquisition of Green Investment Bank, and enhanced their knowledge surrounding subsectors in the financial world, including insights into asset management, investment banking and private equity. Jian was also one of 30 applicants selected out of 100 for the Berenberg - Stock Pitch Competition, where they researched thoroughly the fundamental aspects of Somero Enterprises (SOM) and spoke confidently in front of all teams and judges. In 2022, they held a Risk & Quantitative Strategy Summer Analyst position at HPS Investment Partners, LLC, where they used credit ratings, funded market value, total weighted averages ratios and other variables to help calculate liquidity scores with Everest’s data, calculated debt exit prices across numerous funds by computing simple and weighted averages, and created an Investor deck PowerPoint to present to clients.

Jian Batra attended Tiffin School (Boys) from 2013 to 2020 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Economics at the University of Nottingham.
