Project Lead at Fantom Foundation

Artem V. has a diverse work experience starting from 2013 as an Intern at PwC Russia. Artem then worked as a Consultant at BDO from July 2014 to February 2015. From September 2015 to September 2016, Artem was a Junior Software Developer at OpenWeatherMap and was responsible for upgrading and maintaining DB-backed RESTful APIs and weather delivery services. Artem also designed and developed services like Weather Checker and Automated aggregation of weather data.

Artem then joined WiMark Systems in February 2017 as a Software Developer, where they designed and developed a system for managing office-wide Wi-Fi networks. Artem implemented and maintained the backend stack and internal tooling for the company.

In October 2017, Artem became a Senior Software Developer at MaximaTelecom JSC, where they developed the Internet provisioning and authorization stack for the Moscow Metro Wi-Fi network. Artem also integrated affiliates into the Unified Moscow Wi-Fi space.

From February 2018 to September 2018, Artem worked as a Senior Software Developer at Storiqa, where they developed the backend for the Storiqa marketplace platform. Artem also created a corporate web framework and asynchronous PostgreSQL query engine for the company.

Artem then joined Broxus in November 2018 as a Lead Software Developer, and in January 2020, they transitioned to their role as an Ethereum Core Developer & Team Lead at Gnosis. During their time at Gnosis, Artem created Akula, an Ethereum full node implementation that was benchmarked to be the fastest to date. Artem also contributed to Erigon and led the rust-ethereum project. Artem held this role until April 2022.

Currently, Artem is working at Erigon as an Ethereum Core Developer & Team Lead since April 2022. Artem is an independent researcher leading the development of Akula, an Ethereum full node implementation, and is also contributing to multiple Ethereum-related Rust libraries. In 2023, Artem joined Fantom Foundation as a Project Lead.

Artem V. completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics from Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, which they attended from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, in 2013, they participated as a Bachelor exchange student at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business). The field of study during their exchange program is not specified.
