Ian Chen

Ian Chen has a diverse range of work experience. Ian most recently worked at Fantuan 饭团 as a Marketing Manager, leading a team of 3-5 members to create and execute marketing campaigns. Ian analyzed Power BI data to develop regionally appropriate marketing campaigns and reviewed previous campaigns for potential improvements. Before that, they were a Marketing Specialist at Fantuan, where they analyzed SEO data and collaborated with clients to develop marketing strategies.

Prior to their roles at Fantuan, Ian worked as a Social Media Marketing Specialist at WhaTorEat Media, where they closed business deals with restaurants and provided marketing strategies. Ian also managed and produced digital content on multiple social media platforms.

Ian also gained experience as an Event Planning Specialist at Fusion Agency, where they planned and executed more than 50 media events and managed digital content for restaurants.

In addition to their marketing roles, Ian held leadership positions at the Taiwan Republic of China Students Association at the University of Toronto (ROCSAUT), including President and Vice-President External. In these roles, they led their team in finding sponsors, developed excellent communication skills, and negotiated beneficial deals for both sponsors and the club. Ian also served as a Public Relations member, learning to cooperate with team members and prioritize the club's best interests.

Before their university involvement, Ian worked as a Customer Service Representative at U of T Bookstore. In this role, they ensured positive customer experiences, provided information and assistance, and managed sales of clothes and school supplies.
