Rob Laing is the CEO and founder of Farm.One, a position they have held since the company's inception in 2015. Prior to that, they were the CEO and founder of Gengo, a crowd translation platform that was acquired by Lionbridge in 2019. At Gengo, Rob grew the company from its initial idea into a thriving business, with year-on-year growth and annual revenue of over $10 million. Rob built a team of 50 talented people in Tokyo and the Bay Area, launched the first human translation API, and achieved industry-leading performance metrics for speed, quality, and customer satisfaction. Rob also raised a total of $20 million in funding from investors in 4 different countries, built a globally recognized brand, and created valuable partnerships with companies like Google, ChannelAdvisor, Zendesk, and JTB. Before Gengo, Rob served as Design Director at The Brand Union (July 2005 to May 2006) and Creative Director at Moresided (May 2006 to May 2009).

Rob Laing completed a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Graphic Design from the University of the Arts London, as well as a Foundation Art & Design program from Kingston University. Rob also has an International Baccalaureate from St. John's International School.
