Sasha Nichols

Sasha Nichols has a diverse work experience spanning from 2008 to the present. Sasha started their career as a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, where they conducted research on regulatory competition, intellectual property regimes, and differences in business organization laws. From 2010 to 2011, Sasha worked as a Research Associate at UCLA Anderson School of Management.

In 2012, Sasha joined UC Irvine School of Law as an Advanced Clinic Student, where they worked on a year-long project focusing on former political prisoners in Burma. Their responsibilities included researching compensation for political prisoners, legal remedies, and conducting interviews. Sasha also served as a Research Assistant to Professors Catherine Fisk, David Min, and Ann Southworth, assisting in the writing of a textbook on the legal profession.

In 2013, Sasha worked as a Summer Associate at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP. Sasha then joined the firm as an Associate in 2014, specializing in M&A transactions in the food and beverage industry. Sasha also worked as an Expert Consultant at Assistance Association of Political Prisoners, Burma, providing their expertise on a short-term basis.

From 2017 to 2018, Sasha worked as an Associate at Milbank LLP, focusing on M&A transactions and founding the office's DEI group.

Since 2018, Sasha has been working at Farmer's Business Network, Inc. In various roles, they have served as a Corporate Counsel, Senior Corporate Counsel, Assistant Secretary, and DEI Program Manager. Sasha Nichols has an extensive education history. Sasha pursued their undergraduate studies in Economic History at the University of Minnesota from 2000 to 2004, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. In 2004, they furthered their studies at UCLA and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in History, with a specialization in economic history, which they completed in 2010. Sasha then attended the University of California, Irvine School of Law from 2011 to 2014, earning a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. Additionally, in 2007 and 2008, they attended Harvard Business School for further studies in economic history. Sasha's dedication to learning extends beyond traditional academics, as they also obtained a certification as a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher from Yoga Alliance in December 2016.
