Marek Bettman

Marek Bettman has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Marek is currently working as a Cloud Engineer/System Administrator at Farmforce through Nordcloud, where they provide complex AWS infrastructure support and optimization. Marek is responsible for designing and provisioning new environments, managing databases, implementing IaC using Terraform, and assisting with data analytics pipeline design. Marek also consolidates and migrates monitoring and log management tools and advises on disaster recovery planning and ongoing infrastructure operation at Farmforce.

Prior to this, Marek worked as a Cloud Engineer at Nordcloud, an IBM Company. Marek has experience as a DevOps Engineer/Backend Developer at Husleie.no, where they developed backend features and internal tools and handled the provisioning and maintenance of the infrastructure. Marek also served as an Operations Manager/System Administrator at Kezzler AS and a System Administrator at Enonic AS, where they gained skills in infrastructure management and support.

Earlier in their career, Marek worked as an Internal Systems Developer and Core QA/Localization Engineer at Opera Software and as an SQA Associate Engineer at Symantec Poland. Marek also had a role as an Editor-in-chief/Market Manager at Software Wydawnictwo Sp z o.o. and worked as an ISP service consultant/Server Administrator at ViperNet Sp. z o.o. and as a Hardware/Software support and Internet cafe administrator at Inter System Sp. z o.o.

Throughout their career, Marek has developed proficiency in various technologies and applications such as Linux, Perl, Ansible, Docker, Nginx, MySQL, Python, Node.js, and LetsEncrypt/Certbot. Marek has demonstrated a strong ability to adapt to new technologies and environments, making him a valuable asset in the field of cloud engineering and system administration.

Marek Bettman's education history is as follows:

From 2000 to 2005, Marek attended the University of Warsaw, where they studied Polish filology.

In 2005, they enrolled at Uniwersytet Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego w Warszawie and pursued theology studies until 2007.

During the same period, from 2005 to 2006, they also attended Milla College and specialized in software engineering.

Furthermore, from 2000 to 2002, Marek attended Warsaw School of Advertising and obtained a degree in Sales technician with a field of study in marketing.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Marek Bettman has obtained two certifications. In October 2022, they earned the "Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals" certification from Microsoft. Marek also obtained the "AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2022.
