Maarten Claes

Maarten Claes has been working in the tech industry since 2012. Maarten started out as a Developer at Digiti - Digital Agency in 2012, then moved to Software Engineer at PlayPass CVBA in 2013. In 2016, they were Engineering Manager at DataCamp, where they built the content management UI and API and was involved in the hiring of tens of engineers. In 2020, they became CTO of Inflights, where they built out the MVP of the platform, automated the photogrammetry processing pipeline, and led the development of a data quality checking tool. Most recently, they have been a Software Consultant at mcls.io since 2022, and is currently the Director of Engineering at Farmgirl Flowers.

Maarten Claes obtained a degree in Multimedia & Communicatietechnologie from Karel de Grote-Hogeschool between 2009 and 2012. Additionally, Maarten Claes has obtained certifications from DataCamp in Correlation and Regression, Data Manipulation in R with dplyr, Exploratory Data Analysis, Foundations of Inference, Introduction to Data, Joining Data in R with dplyr, Reporting with R Markdown, and Statistical Modeling in R (Part 1).
