Mathilde Lefrançois started their career in 2011 as a Saleswoman at Tartine & Chocolat, a children's clothing brand. Mathilde then worked as a Specialist Assistant at Christie's in 2012. In 2013, they became the Director of Partnerships at Clé Privée, a concierge service in travel and lifestyle. Mathilde worked there for two months before joining Club de Marketing as a Junior Consultant in 2014. Mathilde then worked as a Strategic Marketing Analyst at Hellocasa from January to July 2015. In the same year, they founded KWAALA, a collaborative platform for renting traveling equipment. Mathilde was also the President and Co-founder of AQWA, an association that conducted missions in different countries to assess the social impact of water and agriculture initiatives. Lastly, they co-founded Farmitoo in 2017.

Mathilde Lefrançois has a diverse education history. From 2010 to 2015, they attended ESSCA, where they obtained a Master 2 (M2) degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship. In 2014, they enrolled in the University of the Philippines and pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Entrepreneurship / Entrepreneurial Studies. Meanwhile, in 2013, they studied Business in China at ESAI Shanghai, although the degree obtained is not specified. In 2015, Mathilde attended Le Wagon and completed a Fullstack Ruby on Rails Bootcamp, indicating their interest in programming and web development. Additionally, in April 2020, they obtained a certification in Botany from Tela Botanica through the MOOC Botanique program.
